
Incorporated and charter issued in Colorado to the Denver and Santa Fe Railway Company, March 22nd, 1887. Sold to the Santa Fe January 19th, 1900.
Grading started at Pueblo, March 28th, 1887. Track reached Colorado Springs, July 23rd, 1887.
A. A. Robinson, Chief Engineer. ? A. Drake, W. W. Pollett and B. F. House were the Locating Engineers. Harry Hedges and T. D. Randall, Track Engineers. W. F. Hill and C. F. W. Felt, wer Bridge Engineers. J. J. Hoopes and C. F. Lawton and others, were Division Engineers. ELder was Office Engineer. L. L. Ferrel was Chief Clerk to Mr. Drake. C. M. Rathburn, Division Superintendent.
The Contractors were Grant & McDonald & Company. Joe Corrigan, Carlisle, PRice & Gavick, Bradbury and some others were the grading contractors. B. Lantry and Sons built the masonry for steel viaducts Grant & McDonald built all the wooden trestles. A man by the name of Otto Sonne was the ENgineer for the work, these men had all the work, Pueblo to Denver.
