Pueblo Stone Depot

The Pueblo stone depot used for Divison officials and freight offices was built by C. A. Fellows of Topeka, Kansas, constructed during the fall of 1902 and early 1903. The original stone depot was built in 1878. Torn down in 1902

Change of line west of Pueblo, Colorado.

The change of line from Pueblo west was located and construction started by Resident Engineer, G. A. Morse, in the Spring of 1901. Mr. F. H. Mudge, deceased, succeeded Mr. Morse in August 1901, and completed the work. Old line abandoned had maximum 1.4% grade. New line 1%. This was turned over to the Operating Department on January 1st, 1902. Mr. J. Cullings, as Assistant Engineer in charge of construction, handled the work until July 1901, when he was succeeded by Fred Warren.

Mr. A. Moore, of Newton, Knasas, took the contract for grading and sub-let the south half to Thos. Corrigan of Pueble. Mr. C. I. Manners contacted the masonry work.

The bridges on this change of line were all made of permanent structures. Ballasting was done immediately after the change of line was completed.

Change of line begins at M. P. 619 and ends at M.P. 628, this being nine miles in length. The change of line being one mile longer than old line.
