The Colorado Midland Railway Company.

Incorporated in Colorado, November 23rd, 1883. Consolidated, December 1st, 1893 into the Colorado Midland Railroad Company.

The Colorado Midland Railroad Company incorporated in Colorado, December 1st, 1893. Property sold September 8th, 1897 under foreclosure and acquired November 1st, 1897 by the Colorado Midland Railway Company (New Corporation). The interest acquired in 1890 and 1891 by the A. T. & S. F. RR. Co.. Was sold out in 1897 in connection with the foreclosure and reorganization of the Colorado Midland RR. Company. The Santa Fe took charge of the Management November 1st, 1890. A seperate receiver was appointed, (Geo. W. Risteen) May 1st, 1895, at which time the Santa Fe relinquished the management.

J.J. Hagerman was the First President
Tom Saunders was the first Superintendent.
T.H. Wigglesworth was the First Chief Engineer
B. H. Bryant was the Second Chief Engineer.

The first grading was done on the first forty miles west of Colorado, Springs, July 16th, 1886.

On the next section, running from M.P. 41 to M.P. 91, the first grading was done September 27th, 1886.

On the third Section, Between M.P. 91 and 135, the first grading was done September 23rd, 1886.

On the fourth Section, Between M.P. 135 and 170, the first grading was done August 1st, 1886.

On the fifth Section, Between M.P. 170 and 221, the first grading was done May 1st, 1886.

On the sixth Section, Aspen Branch, the first grading was done August 3rd, 1886.

On the seventh Section, Between M.P. 221 and 233, the first grading was done December 8th, 1886.

On the Jerome Park Branch, the first grading was done July 13th, 1887.
