
Railroad built into Holidaysburg (now Syracuse) in 1872, on Christmas day, Mr. Geo. H. Lake was in charge of the work o f railroad construction at this point.
The first agent at Holidaysburg was De Snow, in 1874-75.
Syracuse was made a division point November 15, 1892. Yard Extended 1908-1909.
Old Depot and Harvey House burned in 1906, which buildings had been moved from Coolidge.
Engine House at Syracuse was built mostly from old material moved from Coolidge in 1902. Built as a ten stall structure by Contractor C. A. Fellows of Topeka, Kansas.
Harvey House and Depot was built in 1907-08 by Contractor C.A. Fellows. The building is a reinforced concrete building, two stories. The Company maintains a separate freight depot at Syracuse. Freight House of brick veneer, built in 1907-08, by contractor W.R. Carter of Lawrence Kansas.
