Present Hadley was first called Robinson, then changed to Axtell, then back to Hadley

Casa

Present station of Casa was originally called Marshall.

Second Track, Casa to La Junta

A second track, Casa to La Junta, was built during the year 1916 and 1917, and extends from M.P. 550+3578 to M.P. 554+2556, where the second track joins the present La Junta yard tracks; There being 4.2 miles of second track, Casa to La Junta Depot. Grading was done by Contractor, Jerry Kelleher, Sr., of La Junta, Colorado, and the Company steam shovel placed a part of the embankment form direct secured from a cut east of La Junta.

The grading was commenced in June and completed in September 1916. Masonry Bridges and Buildings were placed by Company force. A #1 standard main line depot with interlocking plant is same at end of second track is placed at Casa and the old tower abandoned. Mr. L.G. Harris, Division Engineer, of La Junta took car fo the Engineering work with his division forces. The two main lines between Casa and La Junta are controlled by automatic block signals. Second track placed in service in the Spring of 1917.
