Eastern Oklahoma Railway

Material From Joseph A. Cammalleri

October 1998

Howdy Russell,

Just returned from trip to Oklahoma. Sad and good news.

The state bought the last remnant of the old EO Ry and it is operating between Stillwater and Pawnee.

Bad news: Nothing doing with the old D.E.& G., as tracks are dormant and decaying and nobody knows anything. Depot at Crescent, Oklahoma torn down.

Worse: Cushing yard gone; no tracks left anywhere in Cushing; depot is decrepit and forlorn; coal dock still there brooding like a giant colossus. Picture attached. Hope you are well. JAC.
