Dear Sir:

          Your message of the 27th, stating your acceptance
Of Mr Kingman's resignation, and placing the Construction
Department Under my charge again, as well as suggesting that I 
Appoint Mr Drake Acting Chief Engineer, was duly received and
Acted upon at once.  Please accept my thanks for the indication
Of your renewed confidence in my administration of affairs
At the front, and rest assured that Mr Drake and myself,
As well as others now in responsible positions, will all
Act in harmony, and that your interests will be taken care of to
The best of our ability.
