TRAINGRAM. EASTERN OKLAHOMA RY Office of Resident Engineer May 4, 1900 Guthrie, Oklahoma
Mr. James Dun,
Chief Engineer.
Topeka, Kans.
Dear Sir:--
The following is the report of situation on the E. O. Ry. To date:
GRADING to Pawnee is nearly completed.
TRACK is at station 1976, which is just North of Glencoe.
BUILDINGS the same as last week with the exception that Ripley is finished: Stillwater, ready for the painters. The well at Ripley is down about 14 feet. Pump house at Iowa City is complete ready for pump. Tank foundation at Iowa City complete. Tank foundation at Ripley being ballasted. Industrial track and stock yards track at Stillwater grading about two-thirds completed.
Freight business for Stillwater and Glencoe, more than can be readily handled. Passenger business good. Excursion from Stillwater to Guthrie to-day 240 persons. Left Stillwater 8:30 A.M. Arrived Guthrie at 11:50 A.M.
RIP RAPPING progressing well.
A number of heavy showers are causing some delay to our track work, and the large cuts near Glencoe are very wet.
SURFACING has not been done beyond Yost but will be taken in hand at once.
Yours truly,
H. C. Phillips
Residence Engineer.
