New concrete viaduct at Canon City. Work was commenced in September, 1914 and completed in February 1915. Do not know actual cost of viaduct, but understand the estimated cost was $30,270.00. A commitee was appointed by the city of Canon City, who placed an assessed value on property in the Improvement district based on frontage. THis was approved by the CIty as committee has assessed equally upon lots and lands in proportion to the benefits to lots and lands accruing by reason of building the viaduct. Santa Fe's proportion is $5000.00 which bears interest at 6-1/2%, payable annually for ten years after which time one-fifth of assessment is to be paid each year with 6-1/2% interest on balance until total assessment is taken up.
