While the records of the Atlantic and Pacific Railroad are not very clear, from such as have been found, and from information coming from other sources, the following appears to be established:
A A Robinson - Feb 20, 1880 to July 6, 1880
H R Holbrook July 7, 1880 to Dec. 31, 1881
Lewis Kingman Jan. 1, 1882 to Mar. 31, 1883
W A Drake, Act'g CE Apr. 1, 1883 to end of construction
The record, with respect to Locating Engineers, is not very clear. The best available information is as follows:
J E Earl San Felipe to Bluewater, via San Mateo
Lewis Kingman, Isleta to Laguna
" Laguna to Canon Diablo, (Preliminary)
" Canon Diablo to the Colorado River
H R Holbrook, Quirino Canon (State Line) to Laguna
T W Sterritt, Canon Diablo to Flagstaff (Preliminary).
There is some over-lap due to resurveys. If still other men were on location the available records do not give their names. Lewis Kingman was the principal locater.
Other engineers designated as Resident or Division Engineers were the following:
