Should the company ever intend in permanent structures there would be 180 ft. of Iron trestle 34 ft. high on the "J" line costing $42.00 per foot, $7,560 whilst on the Main Line would have 245., 59 ft. high at $51.00 per ft. costing $12,495.00. In this there would be a difference of $4935.00 in favor of the "J" line. This deducted from $8,116.99 would leave $3,181.99 still in favor of the Main Line.
The numbers were carried on from the "J" line so that the through line is 687 ft. shorter on this account than the numbering on the stakes to the east would indicate.
The "K" Line is not worthy of mention here. Mainline 1.8 Grade.

Without making an estimate it is easily to be seen that the Main Line is larly in excess of the "L" Line and for that reason an estimate was not made.
