Dear Sir:

I return herewith letter of Britton and Gray dated Aug. 3, with attached letter from the Commissioner of Indian Affairs, dated Aug. 2d, giving us official information of the authority granted by the Secretary for the Eastern Oklahoma Railway Company to survey and locate the line or lines in Oklahoma and Indian Territory.

I am very glad indeed that you have been so successful in securing this permission from the Secretary.
