Selections From The Splinters

The profile of the first 20 miles of the Eastern Oklahoma

Profile E. O. Ry.

SANTA FE ROUTE

Guthrie, Oct. 3rd, 1899

Mr. James Dun

Chief Engineer

Topeka.

Dear Sir:

I send herewith a tracing of the profile of the first 20 miles of the Eastern Oklahoma. This is not at all complete even as far as it goes but is all the information I have at the present. Would you please let me have as soon as possible three prints of it and make any you wish for your own use and return the tracing to be added to and amended.

Major Marvin is here and says he can give me the located line from 1080 on to
Perleins by the end of this week and I can them set Maney to work. I can of course get no right of way until the line is located but hope for more this week. Mooreâs work is well opened and going well. Sparr & Stubbs are having some little delay for right of way. The Shutt people are all right on their earthwork, but slow on the rock owing to lack of men.

Yours truly,

H. C. Phillips

File enclosed.
