Reports on track laying.

					Eastern Oklahoma Ry.
					Office of Resident Engineer.

Mr. James Dun,
Chief Engineer,
Topeka, Kans.

Dear Sir:--

Replying to the attached as to message for work completed on May 25th÷the copy of the message filed for transmission read as follows. ãFor the 25th÷Surfaced 3000 feet, station 514 to 544. Back spiked in full 1500 feet, station 1641 to station 1626. Day clear and warm.ä

The last question as to why you have not received daily report is best answered by frank confession that I have been so busy out ukpon the line wiht wash outs, track work, etc., that I could not personally forward the returns, and they were some how omitted in the office in my absents. I will try to be more accurate and prompt in my reports in track laying for the Guthrie and Western.

I also enclose a statement of track laying from May 24th to date, in order that you may complete your files.

Yours truly,

H. C. Phillips

Resident Engineer.
