Replying to yours of August 21st. In order to reduce engineering expenses on the E. O. Ry. I think it would be well for you to let Mr Howe go as soon as you conveniently can, you remaining in charge, as there must be many things that will come up that you could attend to better than Mr Howe. You can retain Mr Owen , Your stenographer.
I think the material at Arkansas City had better be turned into Stock D and with drawn from construction account.
